The URL Performance tab in SiteCurve provides a detailed breakdown of how individual URLs from a domain perform in a given landscape. This tab is critical for understanding which specific pages on a website are driving traffic, gaining visibility, or losing rankings.

What Is the URL Performance Tab?

The URL Performance tab lists all the URLs that are ranking for the keywords in your landscape. It helps users analyze URL-level performance metrics, monitor improvements or declines over time, and uncover trends related to page-level SEO.

Key Features of the URL Performance Tab

1. Performance Trends Graph

  • Visual Breakdown: The trend chart shows daily counts of Improved URLs (green bars) and Declined URLs (red bars).

  • Interactivity:

    • Clicking on a bar filters the table below to display only the improved or declined URLs for the selected date.

    • Clicking the bar again resets the filter.

  • Actionable Insights: This allows you to identify when specific URLs experienced significant performance changes.

2. URL Filters

At the top of the table, users can toggle between:

  • All URLs: Displays all URLs identified in the landscape.

  • Improved URLs: Shows only URLs that gained rankings or traffic.

  • Declined URLs: Displays only URLs that lost rankings or traffic.

3. URL Performance Table

The table provides detailed insights into individual URLs, including:

  • URL: The specific page found ranking for keywords in the landscape.

  • Traffic: The estimated traffic driven by the URL based on keyword rankings.

  • Change (Δ): The difference in traffic since the previous time period.

  • Keywords: The number of keywords where the URL ranks. Clicking this number brings up a keyword-level analysis for the URL.

  • Average Rank: The average rank across all keywords associated with the URL.

  • Scores:

    • Curve Score: Indicates the URL’s overall performance compared to its authority.

    • Volatility Score: Highlights how frequently rankings fluctuate for this URL.

    • Google Score: Shows the presence of SERP features on the associated keywords.

4. Sorting and Filtering

  • You can sort the table by metrics like Traffic, Change, Keywords, Average Rank, etc.

  • Advanced filters (e.g., Discovered Date, Last Updated) allow users to refine the results for deeper analysis.

5. Export and Columns

  • Export: Download the table as a CSV for offline analysis or reporting.

  • Columns: Customize the table view by selecting or deselecting columns to focus on relevant metrics.

How To Use the URL Performance Tab

Step 3: Dive Into Keyword Insights

Click on the Keywords count for any URL to see:

  • Which keywords are driving traffic to the page.

  • The average rank and CPC for those keywords.

Step 4: Understand Changes in Traffic

Review the Traffic Change column to pinpoint URLs with notable traffic shifts and investigate potential reasons, such as:

  • Algorithm updates.

  • Content changes.

  • Increased competition for keywords.

Step 5: Export Data for Reporting

Use the export feature to share data with your team or analyze it further in external tools.

FAQs of URL Performance

What Do the Scores Mean at the URL Level?

The scores (Curve, Volatility, Google) at the URL level work similarly to the domain level but focus solely on the specific page. They provide a more granular view of page performance and SERP dynamics.

What Happens If a URL Is No Longer Ranking?

URLs that lose all rankings will still appear in the Declined URLs list with a traffic value of zero.

How Can I Use This Tab To Improve My SEO?

  • Focus on URLs with declining traffic to identify areas for optimization.

  • Use improved URLs as examples of what works in your SEO strategy.

  • Analyze which keywords are driving traffic and expand on related topics to boost visibility.
