Pricing & Payouts

The "Pricing & Payouts" tab within the SiteCurve Landscape Admin Settings allows admins to manage payments, set up Stripe integrations, and track payouts for their paid landscapes.

Overview of Features

  1. Pricing Management: Admins can set a monthly fee for accessing their landscape.

  2. Stripe Integration: Securely manage payments and connect a bank account via Stripe.

  3. Payout Tracking: View upcoming payouts, total payouts, and payout history.


For Landscapes That Are Not Paid

If your landscape is not set as "Paid" in the General Settings tab:

  • A yellow notification will appear stating: “You are not running a paid landscape. If you want to charge to access this landscape, you can do so by going to the General settings.”

  • To enable monetization, go to General Settings and change the access to "Paid."


Setting Up Stripe for Monetization

If your landscape is already marked as "Paid," but the payment setup has not been completed:

  • You will see a yellow notification: “Connect Your Bank Account.”

    • Click the "Connect Bank" button to be redirected to the Stripe setup process.

    • Complete the steps required by Stripe, including linking your bank account.

    • Stripe’s process includes verifying your information, which may take up to 48 hours. During this period, a "Stripe connection pending" red bar will appear at the top of your landscape.

Resolving Stripe Connection Pending

  • If the Stripe connection is interrupted, use the Check Stripe Account button in the notification to return to Stripe and complete the setup.

  • Your landscape will not be discoverable until Stripe integration is complete.


Setting a Monthly Price

  • Once Stripe is set up, the "Pricing" field becomes active.

  • Enter the desired monthly subscription fee for your landscape.

  • Click "Update Price" to save changes.

Notes on Pricing Changes

  • Existing members will be grandfathered into the pricing rate at which they initially joined, even if the price is updated later.

  • If a member leaves and re-joins, they will need to pay the updated price.


Inviting Members to Bypass Payment

Admins have the option to invite specific members to join the landscape for free, bypassing the payment requirement. This can be done through the "Invite Member" button in the Members tab.


Managing Member Payments

  • Payment details for individual members can be viewed in the Members tab.

  • Admins can see:

    • The total amount paid by each member.

    • The member’s subscription status.

    • The date they joined the paid landscape.


Payouts and Payment History

  • Total Payouts: A cumulative total of all payments received for the landscape.

  • Payout History: Lists details of all past payouts processed by Stripe.


Service Fee

SiteCurve takes a 10% fee for the service of paid landscapes and allowing users to monetize their data. This fee is deducted from payouts before they are sent to the admin's connected bank account.


Cancelling Member Subscriptions

  • Admins can cancel a member’s subscription directly from the Members tab.

  • Account admins can also cancel subscriptions through the account-wide settings.


Key Callouts

  • Discovery Status: Paid landscapes will only be discoverable on SiteCurve once Stripe setup is completed and the landscape is fully operational.

  • Payment Timing: Members will be billed on the day they join, and subsequently every 30 days.

  • Refunds or Issues: Contact Stripe support or SiteCurve support ([email protected]) for any payment-related concerns.
