Admin settings provide landscape owners with full control over the branding, accessibility, and moderation settings of their landscapes. This guide explains each element of the admin settings interface and provides best practices for effectively managing your landscape.
Landscape Identity
Landscape Icon
Purpose: The icon represents your landscape across SiteCurve (e.g., discovery pages, landscape switcher, posts in the main feed).
Recommendations:
Upload a square image (250px by 250px recommended).
Choose an image that reflects your brand or the purpose of the landscape.
Landscape Banner
Purpose: The banner appears prominently at the top of your landscape’s home screen.
Recommendations:
Upload a high-quality image (728x452px recommended).
Align the design with your brand’s identity (e.g., for agencies, include your logo or visual elements).
Landscape Name
Purpose: The name is displayed across SiteCurve wherever your landscape is referenced.
Recommendations:
Make it descriptive and reflective of the keywords, industries, or niches the landscape focuses on.
Landscape URL
Purpose: This is the URL users will use to access your landscape directly.
Rules:
Only letters and numbers are allowed.
Ensure it’s simple, intuitive, and related to your landscape's theme.
Description (Long)
Purpose: Appears under the banner on the landscape’s home page, explaining its focus and purpose.
Recommendations:
Clearly describe what the landscape is about and why it’s valuable.
Highlight your credentials or experience to build trust.
Use a maximum of 800 characters.
Description (Short)
Purpose: A brief tagline shown in the top-left corner of your landscape.
Recommendations:
Keep it concise and engaging (max 70 characters).
Access Settings
Access Levels
Public:
Anyone on SiteCurve can see the data and discussions.
Users can view landscape activity without joining but must join to participate in discussions, export data, create alerts, save views, and add items from this landscape to portfolios
Private:
Only invited or approved members can access data and discussions.
Paid:
Access is granted only to users who pay the specified membership fee.
Discovery Toggle
Purpose: Makes the landscape discoverable in SiteCurve’s directory and other discovery features (like seeing public discussion posts in the All SiteCurve feed).
Options:
On: Users can find your landscape through SiteCurve’s discovery tools.
Off: The landscape can only be accessed via its URL.
Apply to Join (For Public and Private Landscapes Only)
Purpose: Allows admins to approve new member requests.
Rules:
When enabled, new members require admin approval to join and participate.
In public landscapes, users can still view discussions without being approved
Admins can specify signup 3 questions as well new members must answer in their application to join
Posts Moderation (For Public Landscapes Only)
Purpose: Allows admins to review and approve posts before they’re published.
Options:
On: Posts are held for review in the admin panel.
Off: Posts are published automatically
Action Buttons
Update Landscape
Purpose: Saves all changes made to the landscape settings.
Important: Always review your settings before clicking this button.
Archive Landscape
Purpose: Deactivates the landscape while preserving its data.
Impacts:
Keywords are released back into your account's allowance.
Data becomes read-only.
Saved alerts, portfolios, and other user-saved items are removed from user accounts.
To reactivate, ensure your account has enough available keywords.
Best Practice: Notify users before archiving to minimize disruption.
Payment Notice for Paid Landscapes
Purpose: If “Paid” access is selected, admins are prompted to set up a payment method.
Steps:
Click the provided link to navigate to the Pricing and Payouts tab.
Configure payment details to enable paid memberships.
Key Use Cases and Tips
Branding Your Landscape:
Use icons and banners to reinforce your brand’s identity.

Reactivate landscapes later if needed, provided your account has sufficient keyword capacity in the account
