Account administrators have comprehensive control over all landscapes within their account through the Account Settings. This includes oversight of public, private, and paid landscapes created by any account member. From the Landscapes section, administrators can monitor usage, manage access, and maintain organization-wide landscape settings.
Types of Landscapes
SiteCurve supports three distinct types of landscapes:
Public Landscapes are visible to all SiteCurve users and appear in the discovery directory. These landscapes help build your organization's presence on the platform.
Private Landscapes are only visible to members of your account and specific invited users. These are ideal for confidential or internal projects.
Paid Landscapes require a subscription to access. When account members join paid landscapes, the subscription fees are charged to the account's payment method.
Managing Archived Landscapes
Account administrators can archive landscapes when they want to pause their activity while preserving their data. When a landscape is archived:
Data collection stops immediately
The landscape's keywords are released back to your account's available allowance
The landscape becomes read-only for all users
Users who have joined the landscape can still access historical data
The landscape is removed from the SiteCurve discovery directory
All websites and items from this landscape are removed from users' portfolios
The landscape remains in your account but in an inactive state
Administrators can re-enable archived landscapes at any time, provided the account has enough available keywords. When a landscape is re-enabled:
The account must have sufficient keywords available in its allowance to support the landscape
Data collection resumes
The landscape returns to its active state
If previously public, it reappears in the discovery directory
All previous data and settings are restored
Users regain full access based on their permissions
Websites and items become available again for portfolios
This archiving system provides a flexible way to manage landscapes, allowing administrators to pause data collection and discovery while maintaining access to historical data.
Account Deletion and Landscapes
The only way to permanently delete landscapes is through account deletion. Before deleting an account, be aware that:
All landscape data attached to the account will be permanently deleted
All members will immediately lose access to the account
All websites and items from the account's landscapes will be removed from users' portfolios
This action cannot be undone
Viewing Account Landscapes
The Landscapes section in Account Settings provides a comprehensive view of all landscapes associated with your account. For each landscape, you can see:
The landscape name
Access type (Public/Private/Paid)
Creator
Creation date
Number of users
Keyword usage
Available actions
Managing Landscape Access
Administrators can modify access settings for any landscape in the account. This includes:
Converting between public and private access
Managing member permissions
Reviewing and approving access requests
Setting up paid access requirements
Monitoring Keyword Usage
Track keyword allocation across all landscapes in your account through the Landscapes section. This helps ensure efficient resource distribution and prevents reaching keyword limits unexpectedly. You can:
View keyword usage per landscape
Monitor total keyword consumption
Identify opportunities for optimization
Plan for capacity increases
Transferring Landscape Ownership
When organizational changes occur, administrators can transfer landscape ownership between account members. This can be done:
During member removal
As part of role changes
For workload reallocation
The transfer process ensures continuous landscape management and access.
Managing Landscape Subscriptions
For paid landscapes created by account members, administrators can:
View all active subscriptions
Monitor subscription costs
Cancel subscriptions when needed
Update payment methods
Track subscription renewal dates
Best Practices
To effectively manage landscapes at the account level:
Regularly review landscape access settings
Monitor keyword usage across landscapes
Consider archiving instead of deletion to preserve historical data
Maintain clear naming conventions
Periodically audit landscape ownership and usage
Keyword Management Tips
Since keywords are a shared resource across your account:
Review keyword allocation regularly
Archive unused landscapes to pause data collection
Optimize keyword usage in active landscapes
Plan for future keyword needs based on usage patterns
