The New Entrants feature in Category Curves highlights domains that have started ranking on keywords within the landscape for the first time. This tool helps you identify emerging competitors or new players entering a specific category.

When a landscape is launched, all discovered domains are initially marked as new entrants, with their discovery date noted as the day of the landscape’s creation. Beyond that, SiteCurve monitors and identifies new domains that rank on landscape keywords daily.

Key Concept

  • If a domain appears in the landscape for the first time after launch, it’s marked as a new entrant.

  • If a domain temporarily drops out of the landscape and later reappears, it is not considered a new entrant again.

Why Use the New Entrants Feature?

  1. Track Emerging Competition: Spot new domains entering the category to stay ahead of trends.

  2. Monitor Growth: Analyze new entrants' impact on traffic and share of voice within the category.

  3. Refine Strategies: Adjust your SEO approach by studying new players and their tactics.
